Sunday Snippet: Reflection of a Kiss

So, I'm pretty much caught up on the holiday shopping and just in time. We adopted another doggo this week and I ended up with a mild case of the flu. So far, a multi-symptom medication is taking care of the flu and the puppy is chewing her way through anything she can sink her teeth into. We're working on the little shredder to help break her of tearing into everything.

Slow week for television, but I did watch a Classic Who arc. I think I have one left of season nine.

Caught two more episodes of Gargoyles. I had a great conversation with my oldest about the shows we watched together when he was little. Some great memories shared of how much fun we had.

Started Mr. 365, a Passionflix original, but stopped it about halfway through because I'm behind on everything and I wanted to catch Dirty Sexy Saint, the holiday movie for this year. I'll finish up Mr. 365 soon.

I'm in the middle of Dirty Sexy Saint and, so far, love it. I'm so glad I got a founding member's subscription to Passionflix.

That's pretty much it for television this week. Tonight's post is from Reflection of a Kiss, a sexy short that got a start with a writing community prompt.

Here's the mini-blurb:

Pryce Baker and Fisk Darrison, two hunters in the middle of a supernatural war, have many different types of kisses. It's not easy maintaining a relationship in the middle of enemy territory, but they take the time to reflect on what they have and make it work.

And a preview snippet…

Fisk grinned. "Oh, I plan to." He worked his mouth from her breasts down over her stomach and then lower.
He shifted and settled between her legs, hooking her knees over his shoulders. He grasped her hips then leaned forward to trail his tongue between her folds. Pryce rewarded him with a low moan.
Fisk loved the sound, his dick twitching in response. He could wait—the desire to push Pryce over the edge took precedence over his needs. For too long, they'd been caught in an endless cycle of patrol, dispatch, regroup, and start again. Tonight's elimination of the ravaging hell beasts bought some time.
Finally.
To relax. Unwind. Rejuvenate. And reflect.
He'd missed this—stolen moments belonging only to them. He planned to savor Pryce while he had the chance.
Flicking his tongue over her clit, he then sucked it lightly between his lips. Pryce gasped and shuddered. He inserted two fingers inside her hot core and fluttered them against her g-spot. She bucked against his hand, her head thrashing on the pillow. The tight grip on his fingers when she came completely turned him on. Only he did this to her—pushing her into pleasure, giving her release.
When she relaxed into bliss, he worked his way back up her body, trailing open-mouthed kisses over her skin. Pryce surprised him with a hand planted on his chest.
He quirked an eyebrow but grinned when she nudged him backward onto the mattress. Straddling his thighs, she scooched downward and gripped his dick. "My turn for some fun…"
Fisk closed his eyes, anticipation filling his mind and his cock.

One of my favorite things when writing is to find the bare essence of a moment and create a scene. This story is challenging me to search for those small pieces of heaven.

That's it for this week.

Cheers!

Sunday Snippet: Reflection of a Kiss

February in Ohio can be an angsty monster. Two days ago we hit almost eighty degrees. Yesterday, we had a fifty-degree drop in temperature and snow. Seriously… Mother Nature has a warped sense of humor. Just saying.

I'll be skipping this week's The Walking Dead but thoroughly enjoyed last Sunday's episode. I'm always up for Daryl and Carol being in the same space.

The Flash ended up being pretty good, but I need to rewatch. Too many distractions going on while it aired. I did get to see most of Legends of Tomorrow and I'm torn between really hating Rip as a bad guy and kind of enjoying it. I'm very fickle sometimes.

Arrow ended up being awesome! Thea moving behind the scenes to protect her brother is terrific, even when she goes too far. The Merlyn blood is strong in her. I loved Oliver comparing her to Moira, too. A nice, subtle reminder of her other role model in life.

Riverdale got real with the Blossom family secrets. I loved getting some dark background on them. Also enjoyed some of the other undertones pinging in the background. I'm a little confused about Fred's marital status… didn't he say he and Mary split up but they're civil to each other? Oh well, whatever adds more drama, right?

I'm halfway through season two of Daredevil and still enjoying it. It's not as tightly written as the first season, but I love where things are going.

And that's it for television this week. Tonight's post is from Reflection of a Kiss, a sexy short that got its start from a writing community prompt. Write a short story where one main character reflects on the differences when kissing her partner, her lover, her direct superior and her husband… and they're all the same man. I really fell hard for this prompt.

Pryce handled making the lair secure. A simple hex spell would keep intruders out but let their other recruits in. She changed the entry incantation every day.
A quick note to the next group who came in explained what the next target would be and where each member should be posted. McBain could kiss her ass if he thought she'd stick around to personally brief everyone. She had plans. A hot shower to wash away a full week of infiltrating enemy territory and a long, rejuvenating session in bed with Fisk.
In exactly that order.
Stripping her shirt off, she entered the room she shared with Fisk and warded the door. After tossing her top in the laundry pile, she moved into the bathroom, grinning at the sauna-like atmosphere. The tiny space had a tub, shower, sink, and toilet and not much else. Okay, the mirrored wall added some depth… and other possibilities.
She'd give McBain credit for finding the abandoned hotel with one decent wing their group could use as a base of operations.
She popped the button on her pants, momentarily distracted by the sight of Fisk's ass behind the frosted glass of the shower door. No man's butt should look that good. Then again, the rest of the package matched the sculpted behind.
"Stop looking at my ass and get yours in here." Fisk nudged the door open. "My five-minute head start is long over."
Pryce wriggled out of her fatigues and entered the stall with Fisk. He tucked her in front of him, the spray of hot water providing instant relaxation. She moaned, letting her head fall forward, liquid sluicing over her scalp and shoulders.
Fisk started at her nape, brushing the hair aside. His hands smoothed over her skin, the cleansing gel washing away the day's grit and grunge. Long fingers massaged knots from tight muscles, ghosted over bruises and bumps, and teased with a promise of what would come soon.
Pryce lathered up her hair, her fingertips working the snags and snarls loose. A thorough rinse off and—viola—a new person emerged. One clean, relaxed, and ready for action.
She turned in Fisk's arms and lifted her chin. He meshed their mouths together in a lover's kiss. The slow, sexy slide of his tongue against hers, the sweeping lust holding her in its grip. She craved intimate contact. Hot… so, so hot.
Fisk shut the water off and swept his arm under her legs, lifting her, dripping wet, to carry her into their room. His mouth never left hers, the wickedly erotic lip-lock inching the temperature up another notch. He smoothly deposited her on the bed and crawled over top of her.
Breaking the kiss, he nuzzled her throat. "Bad news. I kind of made plans." His lips latched on to the sensitive spot below her ear.
Pryce threaded her fingers through his hair. "You did? And what would those be?" Her back arched when his teeth nipped her earlobe.
Propping up on one elbow, Fisk skimmed a hand along her ribcage to cup a breast. "Listening to you gasp and moan for the rest of the night." His fingers captured her nipple, tweaking it before his head dipped to nibble around the tip.
Pryce smiled and worked her hand between them, palming his long erection. "I think you'd better get started then."

This might end up going longer than a sexy short, but I love where Pryce and Fisk are as a couple.

That's it for this week.

Cheers!

Sunday Snippet: Reflection of a Kiss

Whew. How about that Arrow finale? I'm pretty happy with season three overall and look forward to four. Now we'll find out what happens with The Flash and then patiently wait for Legends of Tomorrow. If you haven't seen the trailer, go find it and watch. :D

Orphan Black? So much love for the show. I was actually pretty thrilled to see some Paul and Sarah interaction. My fingers are crossed he stays firmly on her side. And the Helena one-liners were totally golden. On a freakish note, I'm really interested in what's going on with the women the Castor clones have slept with. I kind of want Gracie to be okay.

Bitten and Lost Girl are rolling right along. Looking forward to having Defiance and Dominion back on my television, and I hope Killjoys and Dark Matter prove to be good viewing fare. Nothing beats new episodes of my favorite shows in the summer months.

And last but not least, my mainlining of Teen Wolf continues. I'm up to the second part of season three and quite engrossed. Each season seems to be better than the one before, which always makes me happy.

So… enough TV talk. Tonight's post is from Reflection of a Kiss, a sexy short where my main characters realize they need to grab moments when they can.

Here's the tagline:

Pryce Baker and Fisk Darrison, two hunters in the middle of a supernatural war, have many different types of kisses. It's not easy maintaining a relationship in the middle of enemy territory, but they take the time to reflect on what they have and make it work.

And a preview snippet…

Pryce entered the lair and finally broke her silence. "Seven hell beasts… not bad." She tucked her crossbow in its slot and shrugged out of her jacket.
Fisk lifted a shoulder. "All in a day's work." He stowed his weapons in the space next to hers.
She tossed her coat on the pegged shelf. "Oh yeah? That last one would've jumped my ass if you hadn't set up the shot and called out the warning." She laid a hand on his arm. "That was some great hunting." She stepped back, letting him remove his vest and thermal shirt.
Fisk lifted a brow. "Is that praise I hear? Coming from you?" With the way they'd been sniping and snarling lately, she kind of surprised him.
Pryce smirked. "Ha. Ha. You know I give credit when it's due." She paused and met his gaze. "And, Fisk, it's more than past due." She glanced away, a guilty flush staining her cheeks.
The same gnarly shame kicked him in the gut. They wasted so much time being pissed off at each other when they should be living and loving. Sometimes hard to do unless they made the time for each other.
Fisk decided to try mending fences on his side, too. "Oh, really?" He did a quick scan of the outer deck area, found it empty, and crossed his arms over his chest. "Prove it."
Pryce snorted a laugh, but leaned in and bussed his lips with hers. "Kick ass job, Fisk. You deserve a medal." She winked and stepped back.
The icy finally broken, Fisk flashed a grin. "I'll settle for first turn in the showers. You can handle things here, right?" Considering the rest of their ranks hadn't returned yet, she wouldn't have much to do.
Pryce laughed and he loved the sound. She didn't get to see playful side of him often, not lately.
She gave him a shove. "Sure. Get moving before McBain finds something he needs you to do, or sign, or fix." Her hand smacked his ass. "You've got a five minute head start before I join you, so enjoy the quiet time while you can." Her voice pitched low. "And, Fisk, don't make plans for later."
He let a slow grin spread across his face. "Wouldn't think of it." Grabbing fresh clothes, he strolled down the corridor, fighting an urge to make a mad dash for the showers. Screw it. He took off at a jog. He could at least get the water nice and steamy for when Pryce joined him.

So far, these two are great fun. For a sexy short, it's coming together in a big way.

That's it for this week.

Cheers!
